At this price, you’re probably going to be impressed if the machine lasts for longer than a day. So you’ll be pleased to know that the treadmill itself has quite a nice, comfortable feel about it. There is no treadbelt cushioning and at just 38.5 x 14 inches, the treadbelt is pretty tight; you will need to put one foot very much in front of the other. The machine does feel remarkably solid considering it’s size and weight although you may want to stabilize it yourself if your floor is a little uneven as it doesn’t have the weight behind it to stick to the ground firmly.
There is a lack of cushioning but the treadbelt doesn’t feel terrible underfoot and is relatively smooth in movement. The compact type of movement needed to walk could mean some larger users or less agile users could struggle to use this machine but otherwise, it’s quite comfortable considering all the trimmed away features that are missing. It is most comfortable used for walking rather than jogging.
One uncomfortable feature to watch out for is the factory setting that means the machine turns off automatically after 30 minutes. It does stop quite abruptly which means if you’re in the swing of your movement and it stops you may well fall forward or fall over if your balance isn’t very good.
At this price you have no incline or decline features, no programs or quick keys and just the different speeds to use. This makes the treadmill perfect for absolute fitness beginners on a budget and also for people who like to set up treadmill desks.
The reason this treadmill is ideal for a beginner is because it doesn’t force you to splash out on something you may use once and never use again. It is one thing going to the gym and enjoying the treadmills there, but who’s to say you’ll use one at home. The Confidence Power Plus is a stripped back, basic treadmill which will enable you to decide whether or not you really like walking at home without breaking the bank. Desk treadmill users love this design because it’s around $800 dollars cheaper than actual desk treadmills and is actually more compact and moveable because it’s lighter.
So overall you don’t have much to play with at this price point but you do have a good, basic foundation to get yourself more active without feeling overwhelmed by unnecessary features.
Ease Of Use & Convenience
The machine is extremely easy to set up and takes around half an hour in total to get up and running. It is much more foldable than the more expensive models and looks a little bit like a large folded deckchair when it’s been folded up. The wheels are also really handy and mean you can move it around really easily.
The machine itself is very convenient to use, you don’t have an overwhelming plethora of programs and customization options to work your way through and have an extremely simple LED display which tells you basic information readouts.
The only inconvenient feature of this treadmill is the fact that it turns off every 30 minutes because of the factory settings, however, as long as you’re aware of it you should be able to anticipate it somewhat during use.
There is no entertainment on this machine because it is so cheaply priced, you can easily use it in your TV room though as it’s so small and easily transportable.

The Final Verdict
The Confidence Power Plus treadmill is a real bargain and actually earns its salt more than slightly higher priced budget treadmills. It pretends to be nothing other than a bare bones, cheap, basic treadmill so you know exactly what you’re getting for your money.
It works well and is relatively aesthetically pleasing considering the cheap components it is made up out of.
Definitely worth purchasing if you want something basic to use as a desk treadmill, live in a space limited house or apartment or just want to try some in home fitness equipment without investing much.
